Tuberose, Absolute

Tuberose, Absolute is a highly concentrated aromatic extract produced through solvent extraction followed by alcohol washing - a process used for delicate botanicals (such as flowers and resins) that cannot withstand the heat of steam distillation. The resulting absolute carries a true-to-nature fragrance profile that is richer and more complex than most essential oils.

Unlike essential oils, which are produced by steam distillation or cold pressing, Tuberose, Absolute is extracted using solvents such as hexane. This allows the full aromatic profile of the plant to be captured, including heavier molecules not present in distilled oils. The result is an intense, true-to-nature fragrance concentrate, though trace solvent residues may be present, so it is used primarily in perfumery rather than therapeutic applications.

Tuberose, Absolute is prized in natural perfumery for its rich, authentic scent. It is used as a heart or base note in fine fragrances, as well as in luxury cosmetics such as body oils, creams, candles, and diffuser blends. Its high intensity means only small quantities are needed - typically 0.1–1% in a finished formulation.

Due to its high concentration and potency, Tuberose, Absolute should be used sparingly. It is typically pre-diluted in a carrier oil (such as Fractionated Coconut or Jojoba) at 5–10% before further blending into finished products.
