As we celebrate International Women’s Day on 8th March, it’s important to recognise and celebrate the achievements of women in all areas of life. One particular set of people who deserve unwavering recognition are our extraordinary crews of talented woman at O&3!
O&3 is a global supplier of natural oil ingredients with factories in the UK and Europe, as well as an office in the US. Founded in 2018 by three siblings who share a real passion for natural skincare ingredients.
“At O&3, we boast a staggering 48.5% female workforce, which is more than double the UK national average. The board is 66% female, and the CEO position is held by our big sister, Jennifer Wood.
The success of O&3 is testament to the talent and leadership skills of our female leaders throughout the whole business. Under their guidance, the company has grown rapidly, expanding our range of over 950 natural oil ingredients, and making them available to our customers – the world’s leading cosmetics companies and indie brands.
The woman leading O&3 at the top are Jennifer Wood – CEO and Eleanor Wade – Buying Director. Both are absolute powerhouses that I am proud to work alongside, and doubly proud to call my sisters.
At O&3 we’re known and recognised for our commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing, but we should also be known for being a diverse employer. Despite progress in recent years, women remain underrepresented, particularly in manufacturing businesses worldwide.
That is why International Women’s Day is so important. It is a day to celebrate the progress that has been made, but also to recognise the work that still needs to be done. For us at O&3, It’s a day to champion the women in our business, and to advocate for greater gender equality more generally.
International woman’s day seems like the perfect day to announce that we are thrilled to join WEConnect International, a global network that connects women-owned businesses with large corporations. This programme connects buyers with companies that are owned, managed and controlled by women and certified by WEConnect International.
This is clearly a natural fit for O&3, and with this new membership, O&3 is poised for continued growth and success in the industry. We have already established a reputation for excellence the field, and with the support of WeConnect International, we are set to take our business to new heights.
